Description: This GIS dataset represents Building Footprint Polygons located in Middlesex County, NJ. It includes all features that were visible on spring 2017 aerial imagery, including features that are outside of county ownership and management. This dataset includes features that occur on private property.All buildings were compiled as complete polygons and squared accordingly. Buildings may have coincident geometry with sidewalk/walkway features. On larger buildings, overhead rooftops were shown as separate features. Building features collected included: Barns, Buildings, Buildings Under Construction, Mobile Homes, Outbuildings, Overhead Rooftop/Canopies, Parking Garages, Ruins, and Boathouse/Pierhouses. Building features that were not collected inclue: Construction sites where no foundation was started, trailers, trucks/motor homes, tanks, towers, temporary structures such as playsets, dog houses, and decks.
